Structure Testing

Visual inspection of all visible structural parts

Visual inspection (Co-Op Housing Society) of all visible structural parts (Column, beam, slab) , external facades of the building, ancillary structures like Pump house, water tank etc. record our observations for structural distresses in the structural components like deflections in RCC/ Steel/ Timber members like column, beams, slabs, cracks in the structural members & also for items of maintenance like leakages/seepages, terrace water proofing etc. & suggest remedial measures to be taken for improving the durability of the structure as a whole to enhance its future life

Rebound Hammer Test

Rebound Hammer Test For determining the estemated compressive strength of concrete and uniformity of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per IS 13311 (Part2)-1992, ASTM C 805-02, BS 6089: 1981 and BS 1881: part 202, BSEN: 13791, also establishing correlation chart between rebound hammer and other confirmatory test for estemated in-situ strength of concrete.

Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test

Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test: For ascertaining the quality of soundness of concrete as well as uniformity of concrete in terms of density, crack depth and width causal analysis of crack propagation as per IS 13311(Part-1):1992, ASTM C597-02, BS 6089:1981.

CHalf Cell Potential Test for Corrosion Mapping (As Per ASTM C876 (6)-1991)

Measuring the Half Cell Potential readings with wheel electrode at the nodes of pre-marked grip points on concrete surface in a suitable grip for determining the probability of corrosion activity of embedded steel reinforcement in concrete with specified half-cell electrode in accordance with ASTM C876-1980.

Carbonation Test (As Per BS EN 14630:2006)

Measurement of Carbonation Depth by Phenolphthalein Chemical at selected locations on RCC members of the structures covered under the study to see the depth of carbonation as per BS EN 14630:2006, BS EN 13295:2004. Ratio of carbonation depth to cover depth is also measured to check the intensity of carbonation atack on steel bar.

Preparation of Structural Audit Report

Preparation of Structural Audit Report which includes: A) The findings from detailed Visual Inspection in the form of Observations, Photographic Records and Critical Areas B) Non-destructive test results & their interpretation to assess current state of condition & levels of deterioration C) Suggested economical viable remedial measures to restore structural stability and increase durability/ residual life of building etc.
